A day at Blenheim Palace is a treat at any time of year but at Christmas it is a treat for the senses.

Each year the house is decorated in a different theme with this year’s being The Palace of Oz. Make your way through the State Rooms and enjoy an unforgettable journey through the Palace.

The Christmas Market will be in full swing and Blenheim’s Christmas shop will be open where you can browse and purchase exclusive gifts.

Please note, we will be departing before the illuminated light trail opens.

In the Palace

A magical tale of wizardry, witches, sparkling shoes and the power of friendship.

The State rooms at The Palace of Oz, inspired by L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, follow the road of yellow brick sprinkled with Christmas magic. Look out for the characters of the book as you journey to the Land of Oz and discover the Emerald City where Dorothy awaits.

The Christmas Market

Shoppers and foodies can escape the bustle of The High Street and stock-up on festive goodies at the celebrated Christmas Market in The Great Court. The seasonal village of wooden chalets offers everything from inspired Christmas gift ideas to tasty treats.

Grab a perfectly festive bite to eat in the East Courtyard as hand-picked street food vendors bring an indulgent twist to the tempting treats and indulgent drinks such as a spiced winter warmer, hot chocolate or toasted marshmallow!

Refreshments

There are multiple catering options on the site during Christmas including the Oxfordshire Pantry which serves a selection of seasonal delights, including hot foods and sandwiches. There is also a selection of catering stalls available within the East Courtyard and Christmas Market. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available.

Travel arrangements

Departing Shrewsbury 09.00 and arriving back in Shrewsbury at 19.30.

All timings are provisional and will be confirmed 7-days before travel and are dependent upon traffic on the day.

We have an ‘All Weather Policy’ which means the tour will go ahead come rain or shine unless the Met Office announces it is unsafe to travel.

Booking your place

The tour price is £88. Includes return coach travel; entry to the Christmas market and timed ticket entry into the Palace.
